The Turkey police on Friday detained 21 suspected members of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) group, including three foreigners, in a major operation in several cities including Istanbul the state capital.
The raids are the latest in a serious of arrests of alleged Islamic State members in Turkey, where the group has reportedly run networks of operations for more than a year.
The group has taken over large portions of neighbouring Syria and Iraq, Analysts have warned the group poses a threat to Turkey, particularly should Ankara develop a more hostile approach to the extremist organisation, and have not ruled out the potential for attacks on tourists.
